What a whirlwind of a month! Time really does fly, and I’ve never noticed it as much as I do now with a baby.
The days are long, but the years are short.

Grandma Vicki came to visit us in June, and it was really fun to see her and Liesl get to know each other.
However, Liesl has moved into the separation anxiety phase, and will occasionally get her sad-face whenever I leave the room we’re playing in or unexpectedly show up in a room where she’s at (as you can see below). “Grandma, I want my mama!”
She is becoming increasingly playful, and indulges me when I put headbands or hats on her.
The biggest accomplishment this month is that Liesl started walking! She loves to mosey around the house, exploring every crook and cranny (or bear-crawling and eating/playing with the toilet paper like a little puppy).
The biggest downside to her walking is all the falling that happens! She gets so many boo-boos now that she’s more mobile, and gets tuckered out from all that movement. See her quasi black-eye, earned from tripping while walking near our bed and bonking her head on the foot board?
She also continues to love the pool! She really enjoys watching all of the other kids, and kicking her little legs while either being held or while in her floaty toy.
Liesl continues to love her evening snuggles with Daddy, too, and gives him lots of smiles and giggles.
She’s beginning to get more teeth, and I’m sure we’ll see some new pearly whites by next month…
I stumbled across your blog whilst looking for parenting blogs to follow. I started bogging yesterday but I’m not talking primarily about parenting.
Your daughter is lovely! My daughter is also 9 months old but she’s no where near walking yet!
Thanks so much for your kind words! Good luck with your blogging and your little girl! 🙂
