Well, the fun with Liesl just continues. She’s eight months old, and getting into absolutely everything! She’s curious, active, and talkative. She’s happiest when she’s around Pete and me, whether it’s playing in the playroom, driving in the car, or going on walks.
We even took her to our first Bier happy hour! (Up to this point, going out to eat with Liesl in tow has been more of a chore than it’s worth, so we typically don’t go out to eat at restaurants unless we have a babysitter.)
She’s crawling everywhere, pulling herself up using anything within reach, and practicing squatting (which I imagine will help her get the strength and balance to walk sometime soon).
She got her first boo boo this month, which resulted in our first visit to the on-call doctor. She was “helping” me get ready in the morning as I was curling my hair, and pulled the curling iron straight off the counter (even though the cord was set up top the counter). She’s so tall I underestimated the length of her reach! Luckily, the burn is healing well and doesn’t seem to bother her much.
She is OBSESSED with hats! Every time we go walking, and Pete and I have hats on our heads, she quickly pulls them off and uses the bill for teething purposes. They must taste pretty good, right?
And, as expected, she loves her snuggle time at night with Daddy.
My mom is coming to visit in a few weeks to help watch Liesl while our nanny is on vacation, and I imagine they’ll have a lot of fun spending quality time together. Can’t wait to share recent pictures of Grandma and Liesl in next month’s post!
Such a sweet baby…I can’t wait to see pictures of Vicki and Liesel…and did your mom tell you that my daughter Eva and her little family are moving home to Omak and have purchased your old house!! LOL
Barb, I didn’t know that! I’ll have to catch up with my mom when she’s here and get all the news. π How nice to have Eva back in Omak!
I’m finally catching up on the past few months’ posts. I didn’t even realize I was featured in one π I’m so thankful for that visit and to meet my goddaughter and spend time with you and Pete. It’s so fun to see Liesl grow and change. You do such a great job keeping everyone updated! Miss you mucho. Give baby girl a big kiss from her madrina π
Ha! You don’t think that a trip from you to Hawaii would go unmentioned, did you? π XOXO
